The thing I love most about working at Miles of Smiles Photography is HOW much fun we have!!! Other than that, seeing these beautiful families starting a new journey with their little ones, or just documenting a certain stage of their lives... It’s amazing to be able to capture a precious moment in time for the clients.

I love how photography can capture a feeling- love, awe, laughter, surprise - it’s amazing to look at a picture and feel all of the emotions in it. I love learning the different way the camera works, how a slight tilt of the head or different angle can change the whole look and feel of a picture.

My favorite session types are Newborn and Maternity sessions. It is such a short bit of actual time that you are pregnant or that your baby is a tiny newborn, and it is easy to forget that time because of how much is going on. To be able to freeze those fleeting, precious moments is priceless. Also, I mean, who doesn’t love babies?! I love working with people because our clients are so much fun. To be able to share these times of their lives in amazing and reminds me that there are a lot of us going through this parenthood journey together!

3 things Sarah says are true about me:

1) I am very attentive to detail and work very hard.

2) I love to laugh and make people feel at ease.

3) I have such great energy, and love working with people.

3 fun facts about me:

1) My house is a crazy zoo! I wouldn’t have it any other way, 3 kids and 5 animals keeps it constantly entertaining!

2) I grew up in New York but have been in Austin for over two decades and consider myself a true Austinite!

3) My passion for photography actually started with my last job - I managed an animal hospital for 15 years and we took in plenty of dogs and cats that needed some love and care and then to be adopted out. We would set up little photo shoots for them in the clinic and I always had so much fun capturing their little personalities!

My goals here at Miles of Smiles Photography are to always keep growing as a photographer, and to create art that clients LOVE and to have fun!!
